Prior to that, the festival will be hosted at The Corridor Gardens Restaurant and Bar, East Legon and Alliance Francaise on Thursday, April 4 and Saturday, April 6 respectively.

Over the years, the two-day International Amofest, headlined by Amsterdam-based Ghanaian trumpeter, Berima Amo, has been a useful platform to highlight rich and authentic African sounds.

Interestingly, the billed artistes have always been a blend of both local and diasporas and Berima Amo assures patrons of cocktail performances on both days.

Apart from Berima, the likes of veteran Highlife musician, Pat Thomas, Rudy Ray, Kwaku Peter Somuah and Ben Makkes have been billed for the show.

Also, Tallulah Molleson, Bnnyhunna, David Grutter, Kwan Pa, Ben Makkes, and gospel music group, Soul Winners will be on stage as well.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Berima Amo mentioned that the annual International Amofest has served a platform not only to promote authentic Ghanaian music but to equally revive the interest of Jazz music among Ghanaian audience.

“The past years have been great and I can assure guests who will make it to both events that they will have a good time. The atmosphere is always soothing and those who have been part of it always testify to the great music experience,’ he said.

Media personalities, Kafui Dey, Roselyn Felli and KMJ are hosts with DeeJay Perfekt mandated to be behind the turntables as official DJ.

Last year, the likes of Adasamma Highlife Fusion, Chorkor Jazz Band and France-based guitarist and singer, Kyekyeku also graced the stage with his beautiful guitar act to the delight of the audience.

Berima Amo who joined forces with legendary Highlife musician, Pat Thomas to birth a motivational piece "Ɔkyena Asem’ in February this year says there will be a performance of the song on both days.
