The book was recently launched during a brief ceremony at the iChurch by Mr Bernard Avle, General Manager of Citi FM and Channel One TV, in the company of distinguished family and friends of the author.
Published by Type Company Limited, Mɔko Bɛ promises to inspire and deepen readers' understanding of God's sovereignty.
“We humans do more than simply think about ideas in an abstract and intellectual way. God created us to interact with Him and His love in a much deeper way than simply, and only, thinking about Him. Our HEARTS must be engaged with Him, His truths, and His ways. In fact, the HEART is the location of worship itself.
“ For worship is not worship … unless it is a Godward expression of the HEART. (Piper, 2002, 2013, Chapter 35). And one of the best contexts for HEART-shaping is the song!
“So, when it comes to the wonderful book by pastor, minstrel, worship facilitator, singer and songwriter, Nii Okai, author of “Mɔko Bɛ: Revealed truths about the Sovereignty of God through the music of Nii Okai,” you are going on a journey with Pastor Okai where he shares his life-changing journey with God intertwined with the creation of a Song called “Mɔko Bɛ.” And also see in that journey how God uses song—when that song is filled with focus on Him and His word—to nurture and expand the heart of believers to go deeper with the LORD.”
The above is a foreword by Rev. Dr. Byron Spradlin, Founder and President, Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, Nashville (Franklin), Tennessee, USA.
Nii Okai dedicated the book to some special people in his life including his late friend and colleague, Kofi Owusu Gyasi Dua-Anto popularly known as KODA.
“I dedicate this book to my dear mum - Anna C. Lartey-Okai, who sowed the first seed into Mɔko Bɛ and to all who have served with me on this amazing life transforming journey, most particularly, Augustine Kofi Owusu Gyasi Dua-Anto, my beloved brother and producer of blessed memory.”
Earlier this year, Pastor Nii Okai released Revival which addresses prevailing issues within Christendom including narcissism, ‘idoncareism for the perishing’, materialism and disunity among others.
