Gospel musicians are not above mistakes – Noble Nketsiah

Gospel musician Noble Nketsiah says gospel artistes should not be expected to live perfect lives simply because they preach the word of God through their music.

He believes that while their calling comes with certain responsibilities, it does not make them immune to human weaknesses and mistakes.

Speaking on TV3’s The Afternoon Show on October 14, 2026, the musician said gospel artistes should not be regarded as saints or superhumans.

“We are not saints. We are not superhumans. We all make mistakes like every other person,” he said.

Noble explained that gospel musicians have personal convictions and values, but, like everyone else, they are capable of making mistakes.

He cited biblical figures Peter and Judas, who were close to Jesus but failed him, to illustrate that even those who walk closely with God can falter.

He urged the public to recognise gospel musicians as human beings who are striving to live by the message they preach, rather than expecting them to be perfect.

Noble stressed that acknowledging their shortcomings does not mean excusing wrongdoing, but understanding that being called to serve God does not take away their humanity.
