eShun gives free music to fans

In a unique display of support for her fans, singer and songwriter, eShun is giving her mixtape, which has recordings of her live performances with her band, the Calabash Band Ghana, away for free.

The seven-track mixtape, which can be downloaded for free online, contains recordings of eShun and her band performing live renditions of some popular songs by both local and international artistes as well as performances of her own songs. 

In an interview with Showbiz, eShun revealed that the release comes after a number of calls by her fans to release some of the live renditions to them.

According to the Dance with Daddy songstress, fans go to the extent of requesting her to sing live for them, as a result, she pitched the idea to her manager who then made the project come to fruition. 

eShun said she was excited about the release of the mixtape adding that the quality of the production, her unique approach to melodies and stunning vocals is sure to capture the attention of audience both in Ghana and abroad. 

The album titled, “My Live Performance Mixtape” has tracks such as The Way I am, Jailer, Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You, Little Things, Medofo Pa, Meye and I Don't Know Why. 

A saxophonist and the manager of the Calabash Band, Brian Conklin said, “The Calabash Band is one of the best new bands in Accra. Formed in 2014 as a jazz combo and built around the amazing and versatile vocals of eShun, Calabash is known for its cool grooves and sweet rhythms and has a mixture of local and international talent creating a fusion of East /West sounds and style with electrifying vocals.”
