Now, how does Joe convince his wife that the affair was under the influence of alcohol, especially when for the past six years, they have been trying for a child  but without success? Will the marriage fixer be able to fix his own marriage?

What do you say to a wife, Nicole, who is afraid to let her husband, Frank, know she loves him because she believes he might take her for granted? And what about Frank who also thinks Nicole married him just for his money?

For answers to these and more, catch Embers of Love, a play, which comes off today, April 1, at the Church of Pentecost Glory Temple, Sakumono Estates at 6:30pm.

In an interview with Daily Graphic on Monday, Nii Mantse, director of the play and president of Germinal Consult, organisers of the event, said  “ these days, people happily enter marriage but are soon in a hurry to get out as soon as problems start showing up”.

“The journey of true marital love is not a fairy-tale of sweetness all through. We must work hard to maintain our love for each other in our marriages whether in good or bad times.

“The lesson behind Embers of Love is to encourage couples to fight through thick and thin to stay together and renew their love. It is difficult but worth it when both parties play their roles well,’’ he said.
