Durbar to celebrate Dentihene’s 6th anniversary

All roads will lead to Dentin, a suburb of Offinso  when the grand durbar of chiefs and people to climax the week-long sixth anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of Nana Kwaku Duah 11, Dentinhene and also the Nifahene of Offinso Traditional Area comes off on Saturday November 30.

According to the organisers of the event, the objective of the celebration is to promote unity among the chiefs, elders and the people from Dentin and draw meaningful and pragmatic development programmes to enhance the total development of the area.

Activities to mark the occasion will include the commissioning of a new palace, cultural exhibition and displays, quiz/essay competitions, dinner dance, health talks, communal work and awards night.

Nana Kwaku Duah 11, born on May 30, 1960, and known in private life as Kwame Owusu Boampong was enstooled in July, 2007 when he succeeded his uncle Nana Tabi Adade who died in 2006.

He is currently the Deputy Director in-charge of Administration, Ghana Health Service and the Regional Health Services Administrator, Central Region.

He holds Masters in Health Policy Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics, University of London.

He is pursuing a PhD programme in the department of Population and Health Faculty of Social Science, University of Cape Coast.
