Nigerian singer, Davido, has gotten a gold certification in the United States of America (USA) for his 2017 monster hit, ‘Fall’.
According to reports, ‘Fall’ by the Nigerian is the first Afrobeat record to achieve the feat.

The exciting news comes barely two weeks after the song was certified Gold in Canada.
Davido took to Twitter to share the news of his new certification in the US.
He revealed that many laughed at him when he promised to achieve the feat.
“I PREDICTED THIS COUPLE DAYS AGO ! !! FALL IS NOW CERTIFIED GOLD IN THE ‘USA !!!!! THEY LAUGHED AT ME BUT I DID IT FIRST !!”, he tweeted.
The gold certification means that as of May 27 2020, ‘Fall’ had sold the equivalent of 40,000 and 800,000 copies in Canada and the US respectively.
