Daddy Lumba is Ghana's Tourism Ambassador

HE is one of the most celebrated highlife musicians in the country and last Wednesday was another positive moment for Daddy Lumba when he was appointed a tourism ambassador.

The artiste who recently wowed patrons at the African Legends Night is expected to use his brand and platform to promote tourism in the country.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held at the Ministry Tourism, Arts and Culture, Madam Catherine Afeku, the sector Minister, expressed her delight at having the celebrated highlife artiste as one of the country's tourism ambassadors.

She disclosed that the ministry is embarking on a journey to unveil 50 tourism ambassadors. 30 of the ambassadors were unveiled in Tamale during the celebration of World Tourism Day earlier this month.

Daddy Lumba joins the likes of Okyeame Kwame, MzVee, Praye, SP Sarpong, Abraham Attah, Elikem Kumordzi, Pa John Bentsifi Dadson among othes who have been selected to drive tourism and sell Ghana to the outside world.

Daddy Lumba promised to use his global connections to promote Ghana's tourism industry.

He assured the minister of his management's readiness to enhance the promotion and development of tourism in the country.
