CCC would be featuring popular gospel musician, Mark Anim Yirenkyi as it ministers to the patrons on the theme, “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of Peace”.

The campaign would be in the form of a musical rally which would be held at the Golden Tulip, Kumasi City on Saturday, July 3, 2016. at 4pm

The concert would be one of the major activities to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the CCC under the tutelage of Mr Augustine Kwadwo Owusu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Austes Ghana Limited.

Apart from CCC, the patrons would also be thrilled by a number of performances from a drama troupe at the Performing Art Department of the Centre for National Culture, Kumasi.

The Executive Director of CCC, Mr Yaw Owusu Asiamah, said it was necessary to preach peace through song ministration in the run-up to the November elections.

He explained that there was the need for Ghanaians to exercise their franchise in a free and fair way and the upcoming November elections was no exception. “Chaos or violence during elections is frowned upon in liberal democracy”.

Apart from music, there will also be political talk by Prof Dr Dr Daniel Buor, a former Vice Chancellor of the Valley View University (VVU), and the Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Yaw Ampofo Duku.

Also, there would be relatively short messages from representatives of all Political Parties that would be invited.

In an interview with Showbiz, the campaign organisers, Michael Asare Godislove and Abigail Akomea were hopeful that efforts by CCC would not be in vain and would achieve its purpose of preaching peace.

“This is quite relevant because choirs and singing groups will come together to compete with one another with the aim of spearheading a national campaign for peace,” they stated.
