The On the Plate Restaurant at the Fraga Oil station, opposite the Ashaiman Senior High School near Tema, will begin to vibrate to live band music from next Saturday, June 28.
That’s when the Hi-Life Institute, in collaboration with Ben Brako and Friends, Sena Radio and On the Plate Restaurant take off with their weekly live band music bash.
Artistes line up to entertain on the programme in the coming weeks, A.B. Crentsil, Felix Owusu, Praye, Bessa Simons, include Ben Brako, KK Fosu, Paulina Oduro, Pat Thomas and many more.
“On The Plate Restaurant is a strategic location because it is accessible to all the various groups and classes of people within Ashaiman and its environs,” says Ben Brako who is the force behind the project.
The weekly music event is the recreational angle to a monthly clean-up exercise that Ben Brako and his friends have initiated for the Ashaiman community.
The first in that community self-help programme to create public awareness and action on hygienic homes, clean water, and sanitation within Ashaiman and its environs comes off today, June 22.
The day’s exercise will be focused on the central market area of Ashaiman.
“We have been able to rope in other organizations including National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Zoomlion, Ghana Police, Fire Service, Ghana Army and other bodies to come support the worthy cause,” Brako said.
The first exercise will be held on the 22/6/ 2013 from 6am to10am. That day’s exercise The programme also involves healthy recreational activities for the residents, in the form of ‘Live’ Band Music, which will be inaugurated on the 28th June 2013.
The venue would be the forecourt of the ‘On the Plate Restaurant' (Fraga oil station, Opposite Ashaiman Senior High School) and We intend to institute the practice of good sanitation and make
it a habit to do clean- up campaigns on the last Saturday of every month.
This will be buttressed with entertainment which will take the form of ‘Live’ High Life music featuring top High life and Hip life Stars,
including other organizations, including NADMO, Zoomlion, The Police Force, Fire Service Ghana Army, in this worthy cause to support the local community to achieve the goals of sanitizing their
