BBA The Chase: Selly survives eviction, Denzel and Huddah evicted

SellySelorm (Selly) Ghalley, one of Ghana’s representatives in the ongoing Big Brother Africa (The Chase) reality show can breathe a sigh of relief as she has survived the show’s first eviction.

Selly was among five housemates who were up for possible eviction Sunday night. She was up for eviction along with Natasha, Denzel, Betty and Huddah.

In an intense filled first live eviction show for this season on Sunday night, all 24 housemates were sitting on thongs as it was clear that although five housemates were up for possible eviction, no one was safe.

After music Ugandan duo, Radio and Weasel rocked the stage, the Heads of Houses – Diamonds and Rubies - were called by IK, host of the show, to reveal which housemates they have decided to save from possible eviction and who they had put in their places.

Head of the Diamond House, Feza disclosed that she saved Ghana’s Elikem and put in his place Ethiopia’s Betty.

Beverly, Head of the Rubies House also revealed that she saved Sierra Leone's Bassey and put in his place Natasha from Namibia.

Denzel receives first boot

Soon after those revelations, Ugandan housemate Denzel became the first to be booted out of the reality show.

Denzel, who many of the housemates described as a "strange character", disclosed in an interview with IK after the eviction that his goal for being in the Big Brother house was “to make everyday count.”

According to him, he was initially withdrawn from the housemates because he 'wasn't sure of them'.

After another performance by Radio and Weasel, Kenyan representative Huddah became the second housemate to be evicted from the show.

A teary Huddah explained to IK that she exhibited also reserved posture because “a lot people did not know my story.”

After their eviction from the show, Denzel and Huddah were given the opportunity to get back at the remaining housemates in the house.

They were given the opportunity to shoot one out of four arrows at any of the housemates.

Denzel chose an arrow that will see one housemate crawl on all four legs – meaning their hands and legs - every time he or she steps out of the house till Friday.

Denzel said: "It will be hilarious to see one of the smokers crawl on all fours every time they have to step outside. I'm going to shoot the arrow at Nando."

Huddah shot her arrow at Namibian housemate Dillish. This means Dellish will have to make every housemate's bed every morning.

Head of House

The two houses will wake up to new Heads of House Monday. Selly will be the new Head of House of the Rubies while Betty will be Head of House for the Diamonds.
