It is amazing how some hold material things close to their hearts yet are rather very reckless when it comes to their life and for such people, singer Mawusi is asking them to appreciate the gift of life with her new single, Divine Selection.

She believes sleeping and waking up alive every day is the greatest blessing for which people should be grateful and drives home that message with Divine Selection which will be out on Friday, January 27.

The song rendered in Twi and English languages gives hope to listeners and encourages them to build a stronger faith in God since life signifies victory over death.

“At this point, what we need is to hold on to God, He is all we have. Just as Bible says, all things will pass but God’s word will remain forever. We are in difficult times, not only in Ghana but globally and He is the only stronghold, He has the key to our liberation,” Mawusi mentioned in a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz.

Currently under the management of 2 Face Records, Mawusi real name Faustina Mawusi Seshie-Appiah aims at pushing her brand not only through music but also philanthropic projects.

“I have named my ministry, Mawusi Appiah Ministry and that is because I want to go beyond music, I want to help the needy, orphans, homeless, poor etc through donations, skills acquisition among others. I want to help all these people with the money I make from music”, she noted.

Speaking about her ministry, Mawusi said  “My ministry is purely based on the word of God. I want to help those in need and keep myself unstained from the world. James 1:27 is my inspiration”, she said.

Mawusi had her basic and Junior High education at Gondar Barracks Basic School. From there she attended Zion College of West Africa in Anloga, Volta Region, before enrolling at Ghana Airways School where she studied to be a flight attendant.

She is currently reading Bachelors in Healthcare Management at Colorado Christian University,USA.
