Amber Rose: No slut shaming

Amber Rose may have cried, but she remained defiant and proud when it came to calling out her famous exes for 'slut shaming' her.

The 31-year-old model took to the stage to emotionally describe the negative comments she received at various times during her life.

'I’ve decided to have this Slut Walk for women who have been through sh*t. Even though I am up here crying I want to be the strong person you all look up to and do apologise for all guys,' she said, according to VH1.

She also took the opportunity to forgive her exes Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa, saying she wanted to 'let all of that negativity go.'

While taking part in the Slut Walk in Los Angeles on Saturday, the model had her mother carry a sign that read 'F*** YO 30 showers!' - A reference to Kanye's infamous remarks about her.

Amber's mother also wore a T-shirt printed with the phrase, 'Just because I'm a SEXUAL BEING doesn't mean I want to have sex with YOU.'

In February this year, Kanye slammed his ex-girlfriend Amber while appearing on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club.

'It's very hard for a woman to want to be with someone that's been with Amber Rose...I had to take 30 showers before I got with Kim Kardashian,' the Gold Digger rapper said.

Amber responded to the comments while speaking with Entertainment Tonight a month later.

'We were happy when we were together!' the mother-of-one said of the pair's two-year relationship.

'And now all of the sudden, I'm getting slut-shamed because we're not together anymore and it's not fair.'

Slut-shaming is the act of making a person, especially a woman, feel guilty or inferior over certain sexual behaviours, circumstances or desires that are different than the norm.

Amber has tried to shed more light on the matter of slut-shaming saying “I deal with it every day. I deal with it via social media. People out on the street. They don't quite understand why I post what I post and how I speak on social media.”

Amber concluded: 'I'm sick of it and I'm here for my girls and we're gonna do the Amber Rose Slut Walk this summer and it's gonna be awesome.'

And clearly, the body-confident mother-of-on stuck with her word, as she led her Slut Walk on Saturday.

She was clad in a revealing cut-out lacy black dress and black leather over-the-knee boots while carrying a pink sign that read, 'MY P**** MY CHOICE.'

Walks like the one the 31-year-old is holding, have become a worldwide phenomenon which started after a Toronto police officer suggested to college students that if they did not want to be raped they should not dress provocatively.

It has since become a movement to empower women, encourage people to not judge a female how they chose to express their sexuality - also known as 's**t-shaming' - and to also fight back against victim blaming.
