After experimenting with Afrobeat, Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste Aklerh is returning to the sound that first shaped her musical identity with a new single, Wo Dor.
The lovers’ rock song, which means “My Love”, was released on Monday, October 19, under Revolution Records, offering a softer, more intimate side of the artiste known as the Authentic Voice of Labadi.
The release follows her previous singles, Amele and Good Vibes, through which she explored contemporary Afrobeat sounds. With Wo Dor, however, Aklerh shifts the focus to mellow rhythms, warm harmonies and soothing vocals, celebrating love and affection.

For the artiste, whose real name is Zebulun Aklerh Ocansey, the new song represents more than another addition to her catalogue. It is a return to the genre that inspired her journey while allowing her to demonstrate her versatility.
“After exploring Afrobeat in my last two singles, Wo Dor is a return to what first inspired me. It’s a demonstration of my versatility and my ability to swing between various genres and freely express my creativity,” she said.
She also acknowledged Tubhani Music’s contribution to the project, describing the song as an important moment in her return to reggae.
“The song captures the authenticity of lovers’ rock while highlighting my journey as an artiste. It’s soulful, timeless, and sure to connect with listeners across generations,” she added.
Aklerh has built her musical identity around reggae and dancehall, while remaining open to other sounds. Her catalogue includes Born Rich, Run D’Town, Money and Labadi Gyal, featuring Jah Lead.
In 2024, she released her six-track Dancehall Queen EP, further establishing her presence in Ghana’s reggae and dancehall scene.
