As 2022 comes to a close, fans are turning up at events for live renditions of the tunes they had on repeat throughout the year. And to get everyone in the mood for the world’s biggest Afrobeats Festival, Spotify has curated the perfect playlist.

Yesterday, the first day of Afro Nation was held at the Marine Drive of the Independence Square.

Headlining one of Ghana's most significant musical events is a star-studded line up of Meek Mill, P-Square, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, Black Sherif, Asake among others.

US rapper, Meek Mill and Nigeria's Tiwa Savage performed yesterday and the likes of Stonebwoy and Black Sherif will take their turn today.

Ahead of the festival's return, Spotify released a curated playlist for fans- whether they’re staying home or as the soundtrack for their roadtrip to Marine Drive.

The Afro Nation Ghana playlist on Spotify is a collection of the songs, iconic anthems, and bangers that best represent the broad and multifaceted Afrobeats genre. Welcome 2023 with some of Africa’s hottest artists from 2022, including Black Sherif, Asake, Rema, Gyakie and Kabza de Small, who all feature on the 50+ track playlist.

“The Spotify-curated playlist is meant to be a companion, giving you an escape into a fun rhythmic getaway during this festival period and beyond,” says Spotify’s West Africa Editor, Benewaah Boateng.
