Talking about the fashion scene in Ghana, Afiyo expressed regret that  “people would like to imitate instead of being creative” and was happy that these days many people are patronising African print fabric. ”It is a  very good development that we need to encourage”, she said.

Away from Accra, Afiyo said she had founded a  beading club in Obrachire in the Central Region where she intends to empower young people to engage in bead making and said her patrons should not be surprised if soon they find her works all over the country.
