Wutah loves his Jesus and his dreadlocks
If there is one thing that people find hard to reconcile Wutah Kobby with when it comes to his new found faith in God, is the dreadlock hairstyle he sports. The idea of a born-again christian with ‘knotted hair’ is difficult to accept.

But the one half of the former Wutah music group thinks it is high time people disabused their minds of the negative perceptions they have of dreadlock wearing people especially the males.
“Yes, I get that look from people all the time especially in church. I know what runs in their minds is that I am a weed smoker, do drugs and all sorts. People question my hairstyle and my faith on social media too with some associating me with weed but I think that is very wrong and I want to correct that perception.
“ I am a good christian and I do not smoke weed. The truth is, I do not even know how weed looks like. I have never tried it and I will never use it. I cannot vouch for everybody who wears dreads but there are some of us who do not touch drugs.
“Jesus never said Christians could not wear dreadlocks. I believe what matters most is what is in one’s heart. While man may just look at the physical, God looks into our hearts and that is what is important.
According to Wutah Kobby who has had his dreadlocks for almost a decade, people wear dreadlocks for many reasons. “ I have grown to love my locks, it is simple, it looks good on me, it is very easy to maintain and so far from all the comments I have received, I think my fans have come to love it and for me it is a plus it serves as my identity. I do not intend to cut them off,” he said.
Touching on his impression of those who smoke marijuana, Wutah Kobby said “I am not in the position to judge because I do not know what the herbs is made of and what it does for them. At the end of the day, God is the ultimate judge and I would not like to take that position after all I am still learning the ways of the Lord.
Wutah Kobby real name Daniel Morris is currently promoting his latest 13-tracks album God and Love. It is the second album he has released since Wutah split a few years ago. His first collection of songs, Selfless Bliss, came out in 2012.
