Website to promote music producers created

Ghanaian musicians use the Internet as an essential tool in marketing themselves, their brand and most importantly, their music, however this cannot be said for music producers.

Most often than not, music producers are relegated to the back while all the attention and spot light falls on the musician with their fans not even knowing who produced the song they are continuously jamming to.

The tables have since changed as a website, named Beatz Nation with the aim of exposing music producers, both mainstream and upcoming has been created.
Beatz Nation is a website that profiles Ghanaian Music producers and has attracted interest from people in the music fraternity in countries like Australia, Ukraine, Finland, the USA as well as the UK, looking to work with Ghanaian producers.

Speaking in an interview with the owner and web administrator of Beatz Nation, Richie Armah (kiddiebeatz) said the website was created to serve as a portal that helped with the ‘recognition and online marketing aspects of what music producer do rather than being in the shadows.’

He attributed the high cost of maintaining a personal website to the inability of most Ghanaian music producers owning their own personal websites which will go a long way to making their works accessible to personal clients.

“There are a few producers who actually go the extra mile to market themselves and get noticed but many more are still in the shadows”.  

Beatz Nation has profiled over 30 music producers including the likes of Fortune Dane, the only Ghanaian producer nominated in the producer of the year category for AFRIMA 2016 and has produced hit songs such as Sakordie’s Hand to mouth.

Also Drumroll who produced songs for E.L, Sarkodie and was involved in 6 Productions of M.anifest's latest album 'Nowhere Cool’ and also Magnom.

Although Beatz Nation also profiles DJs and music artistes, its core concern is the profiling of the music producers and giving them the exposure deem them..
