“Unplugged” with Kobby on Republic day

Lovers of good music would have the opportunity to enjoy themselves on Republic Day, Wednesday, July 1 at the La Plaza Bar and Grill in Osu at 7pm, with Kobby, formerly of the group Wutah.

The event dubbed Kobby Unplugged would see the highlife artiste go through his repertoire of his songs on an acoustic guitar to entertain fans for over two hours.

In an interview with Kobby on Friday, he told Showbiz that the experience would not unlike any music fans have witnessed in the country.
“It’s going to be the first of its kind and no mainstream artiste has ever attempted such an event. I would be going through all the songs on my albums at the event and there would be food and drinks so people can treat themselves to good music while enjoying quality food and drinks,” he said.

Kobby assured fans that although his performance would be done entirely on the acoustic guitar; it would be just as good as anything, they might have heard on radio.

“I believe that as an artiste you should be able to play without the aid of electric instruments,” he added.
He said in addition to entertaining patrons with good music, he would also be interacting with fans and playing specific songs at the request of fans. “I am not going to limit myself exclusively to songs from my solo albums, I would also be performing songs from when I used to be with Wutah as well,” he said.

He called on his fans as well as members of the public to make it a point to be at the La Plaza Bar and Grill for a delightful experience. “This is not limited to just my fans but all music lovers should come to the venue on Republic Day for an enjoyable evening.”
