U2Jay drop new singles
Accra-based music duo, U2Jay, are working hard to become an easily noticeable brand on the scene and their latest on the market are two singles: No Bi China and By The Way.

Made up of Joseph Wise Laryea (UWonda) and Jewel Nartey (Jewnart), U2Jay often lean toward love themes and the current tracks follow in that direction.
No Bi China woos a woman by calling out her physical attributes, adding that she is an ‘original’ and not fake like a made-in-China phone. In By The Way, the duo touch on various love-related elements and say real love requires patience to bloom.
Both songs incorporate contemporary danceable beats in U2Jay’s bid to appeal to young, hip listeners.
Meanwhile, the duo expressed disappointment at how some industry players, including influential deejays and event organisers, don’t seem ready to support up-and-coming artistes even when they have compelling musical works.
They pointed out that sometimes, songs without much substance from some big artistes are given attention at the expense of better quality material from some up-and-coming acts.
"Not all songs dropped by big acts are potential hits or good songs but they get industry support. So why aren't some wannabe artistes who put in a lot of sweat to record very good songs not given the necessary support?” they asked.
“We must support our very own new and good artistes who will also grow and take over from the big acts. After all, the big names of today they support will fade away at a point for new acts to take the limelight.”
They duo also urged up-and-coming acts to take time to learn the rudiments of the business to ensure longevity. According to them, eagerness to become stars overnight blind some new artistes from paying adequate attention to the issues that matter in the business.
“Music is not just about telling a beat-maker to drop a beat for you to record some verses or spit some bars. You need to learn essential aspects like dynamics, pitch chord progression and tempo to stay relevant at all times,” the young men stated.
