Tema stars to thrill home fans
Though the city has produced some of the biggest names on the contemporary music scene, residents of Tema hardly get to see their ‘home boys’ at their own backyard as most of the big shows are staged in Accra.

Several Tema-based stars think it is time now to bring some of the joy home and they are laying it on big time at the Tema Sports Stadium on Saturday, January 3.
Organised by Quallo’s Production with support from R2Bees, Mode Conceptz and 4syte TV, the show dubbed “Tema Invasion” will feature Sarkodie, R2Bees, Stonebwoy, Stay Jay, D Cryme, Criss Waddle, Opanka, Nana Boroo, and Pappy Kojo.
Also billed to appear are Joey B, Ephraim and MzVee.
“We just want to give residents of Tema and beyond a taste of what our Tema stars dish out to fans on stages across Accra,” says Evans Eluerkeh, C.E.O of Quallo’s Production.
“On most occasions, we see people from Tema driving all the way to Accra to watch shows. That can be tedious and that’s why my outfit decided to team up with some of the Tema stars to do something for the people there this year.”
According to the boss of Quallo’s Production, the Tema Invasion show would be a yearly affair to be held on the first Saturday of January.
Stay Jay told Showbiz he and the other Tema-based performers are glad to have a regular date to shine before their own people and make them happy.
