Tattoo out with Baaye

His mother is a gospel musician, his older brother is a rapper so it is no surprise that Kestor Ashong has also taken to music.

The Level 400 student of the University of Ghana who goes by the stage name Tattoo, has been doing music for the past seven years.

He told Showbiz last Monday that, “I have been doing music since I was admitted into Aquinas Senior High School but I took it seriously when I entered the university.

“I have always had a passion for music. In SHS, I used to participate in ‘rap battles’ and the urge to do music kept soaring and I decided to give it some attention. I guess music is in the blood since my mother and brother is into music too,” he said.

Tattoo is currently out with his new single titled Baaye, recorded at Hym Records Studios at Labadi and engineered by Smoque. Baaye, sang in both Ga and English has an Azonto rhythm.

Touching on his single, Tattoo said, “I did this song for all Azonto lovers. I think it is catchy and so far, my friends have commended me for the good job done. I am happy people like it,” Tattoo added.

Tattoo currently has four singles to his credit and they are Kpoonyaga, Celebrate, l’m About to Blow and Welemono.
