Soorebia Out with Primus video
The intention of Upper East region artiste, Soorebia when he released his song, Primus early this year, was to break through and capture the hearts of music lovers from diverse backgrounds.

The song which features female Hip-Hop artiste, Ayillah got him some attention in the country’s capital and to maintain the new “status”, he followed it up with other songs, Krifei (Godly) and Kimakihna.
In a bid to promote his brand, Soorebia has released the video of Primus which was shot and directed by Skyface Productions.
“I’m gradually making inroads and want my image to be associated with the brand I’m building.
Even though the song was quite popular within hip-hop circles, the face behind it was unknown and I believe the video will help to promote both the image and brand,” he stated.
Premiered last week Thursday, the video promotes the culture of the people of the Upper East as the artiste stylishly sports the smock. The video is not exceptional but there was obviously an intention to project the frafra culture and Soorebia raps flawlessly in the Frafra language.
There was no drama to depict the story apart from the artiste seen rapping and two others who stood behind him in a studio.
Explaining the concept of the video, the student of the University of Development Studies said wearing the smock which is the regalia of chiefs in the Upper East is to showcase his ‘kingship’ status in Frafra rap music.
“It’s not easy to get recognition as a young artiste from Upper East in Accra. It takes a lot of hard work and a fighting spirit to reach this height because all the attention and music business seem to be thriving in Accra,” he stated.
In July, the 24-year-old released Talk To Me which features new dancehall sensation, Ital. He mostly raps in the Frafra language but Soorebia says that won’t be a limitation to promoting his brand across the country and beyond.
Born Martin Sore, Soreebia who is currently signed to Bolga Boys Things (BBT) record label says he draws his music inspiration from American Hip-Hop artiste, Kendrick Lamar and Nigerian artiste, M.I.
