The latest to appear here is a piece called Official Brazil, a joint production between Kofi Amoakohene’s  Accra-based Scratch  Studios and its partner in Chicago in the United States, Unitty Entertainment.

Programmed by DJ Barry in Chicago and engineered by Kwaku Antwi and Isaac Wallace at Scratch Studios in Accra, Official Brazil has a contemporary techno feel and is a danceable song that easily conjures fun.

Right about now

We’re ready to board a journey to Brazil

GH to Brazil, Syncos music

Serene beaches, summer breeze

Moonlights marry the night

Sexy ladies, lovely bodies

We party, fiesta, forever

The song has Ghana’s Elivava and Mercury Quaye on lead vocals and rap. It was written by Kofi Amoakohene and arranged by him and Teddy Osei of Osibisa fame.

Other personnel involved with the recording include Osei Tutu (trumpet),  Carlos Sakyi (keyboards) and Ekow Alabi Savage (percussion).

“Football and music always go together,” said Amoakohene. “The key item employed by fans to cheer on their teams is song and we have crafted something to help the whole world cheer on the tournament as a whole.”

The Scratch Studios CEO says a jama version of Official Brazil will soon be put out specifically for Ghanaian fans.
