The launch, which took place at the Dancestardorm Pub at Dansoman last week Friday, is also to serve as a platform where the Linda hit maker can annually celebrate his works and that of other leading Ghanaian artistes with music shows.

The four-day event which starts on Wednesday, December 3, is expected to be climaxed with a big show, Samini Live In Concert, which will feature the top 25 reigning artistes in Ghana at the La Trade Fair Centre on Saturday, December 6.

Some of the artistes lined up for Saturday’s show are Sarkodie, Obrafour, 4X4, Stonebwoy, VVIP, Kaakie, R2bees and Episode.

The others are Kofi Kinaata, Edem, Guru, MzVee, Paapa Yankson, Jupitar, Mzbel, Koo Ntakara and Noble Nketiah.

Apart from music, the event, which is being organised by Samini Music and Showbiz Africa, will be marked with other activities.

There will be a workshop on Financial Planning on Wednesday at the Dancestardom Pub. This will be followed by a photo and video exhibition on Thursday, December 4. There will also be a Foodfest on Friday.

Some of the celebrities who were present at the launch to lend their support to Samini were Obrafour, VVIP, Noble Nketiah, Kwaw Kese, Kaakie, Kofi Kinaata, Yaa Pono, Episode and JMJ.

The Second Vice President of MUSIGA and a judge on MTN Hit-Maker, Bessa Simons, lauded the initiative and called on all and sundry to help make it a successful event on the entertainment calendar.

Samini also used the occasion to launch his new song, Godfull, which he said was the official theme song for his 10 years anniversary as an artiste.

Saminifest is being sponsored by MTN and Accra Brewery Limited.
