Oteng eyes VGMA Producer of the Year
He won Record of the Year at the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) with Wosi Nti but lost to Nacee in 2015 and now sound engineer, Justice Oteng is confident of grabbing Producer of the Year when this year’s VGMA takes place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on April 8.

In addition to the Producer of the Year, Oteng of Drumlyne studios has been nominated in the Sound Engineer of the Year category too.
He would be competing with Nacee, Kill Beatz, Kuvie and Akwaboah in the Producer of the Year and in the Sound Engineer of the Year category, Oteng will be challenging Skinny, Nova, Nacee and Kill Beatz.
Speaking in an interview with Showbiz last Friday, Oteng said his greatest challenge among his contenders is Nacee.
“Although I believes I can walk home with Producer of the Year award, Nacee is one great competitor who is a threat to me. I really respect him because he is a super sound engineer but I think I am grabbing the Producer of the Year this year.
“This is because the beat I made for Trigmatic was awesome. Motromodwo is a splendid song so there is no doubt I am sweeping that award,” he said.
Oteng who has worked with musicians such as Obrafour, Kwabena Kwabena, Sarkodie, Nana Yaa, Kofi B, Okyeame Kwame, A Plus and Barima Sidney said he was grateful to his senior colleague Appietus for showing him the way.
