Obsession with Choirmaster
Known mostly for rendering songs in hiplife and highlife vein, it seems Choirmaster has decided to be adventurous.

He takes a departure from the usual norm to give his fans a hiphop tune with the release of his latest song, Obsession.
Obsession which features new artiste, Big Mix, and produced by Vance Stalin, was released last week.
In a bid to prove his love to the “guardian angel” in his life, Choirmaster talks about how he will treat his wife to the envy of their enemies in the song.
He sings about how they have been through difficult times and thought the time was ripe for them to enjoy the fruits of their love.
Like one madly in love, he sings the praises of his wife and tells the world that he is obsessed with her “tender” love.
This new release is definitely not one that brings out Choirmaster’s strong vocal abilities but it was worth the try to “test new grounds”, he told Showbiz on Monday.
His rap delivery on the song may not be top notch but Choirmaster believes Obsession is a “mature music” from his camp.
According to the Ghana Most Beautiful singer, he wasn’t in competition with other rappers but was content with the positive reviews the song has gained since it was released.
“I’m really happy about the positive feedback and also take in good faith those who criticised it. I believe these diverse opinions will shape me into a better artiste,” he stated.
Under the management of BlueRoze Entertainment, Choirmaster whose Ghana Most Beautiful song earned him a nomination at last year’s 4Syte Music Video Awards expressed his disappointment for not earning any nominations at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
He said that even though he was hopeful Ghana’s Most Beautiful would get him a nomination in the Highlife Song of the Year category, he wasn’t discouraged by the turn out of events.
“Well, I know hard work pays and so at the right time, my works would be recognised. I don’t want to sound controversial so let’s leave things the way they are now,” he said.
For now, Choirmaster who is known for other songs such as Pull Him Down and Saved By Grace says he is working hard to gain prominence as a solo artiste.
