Mrs. Irene Ayettey Boateng aka Mama Boat, who always knew music was a calling is out with her latest album, a nine-track colllection titled Shekinah, a Hebrew word which means the presence or glory of God.

There are three worship songs, three praise songs and three medleys on the album.

All tracks were recorded by sound engineer Nacy.  Some of the song titles are Mahoɔden, Onyame Ye, Glory Glory, Hyɛ Me Ma, Awurade Kasa and Memu Ade Nyinaa.

Mahoɔden is Mama Boat’s favourite track because it reflects some of the challenges the singer has been through in the past. She sings her heart out praising the Lord for  the wonderful things done her life when everything seemed to be going wrong.

She explains in her song that God knew what He had for her that was why He made her go through difficulties in order to bless her with good things in the end.

Mama Boat, who is married to Rev. Felix Ayettey Boateng of Shekinah Temple at Kasoa in the Central Region, mentions Daughters of Glories Jesus, Stella Aba Seal, Tagoe Sisters and Florence Obinim as some of the gospel acts she admires.
