Le Maxque and band head back to UK

A couple of years ago, percussionist, singer and dancer  Emmanuel Ahadjie, also known as Le Maxque, would have said the thing he loved doing best was whipping out   dynamic traditional rhythms from across the country with his band.

These days, however, what is uppermost in his mind is  to continue raising funds   in support of the breast and cervical  cancer campaign in this country. Being a  musician, he knows the best way to do that his through his art.

That’s why he is heading back to the United Kingdom  (UK) with his band  again this year for six shows between October  25 and November 29.

He is confident  of  raising  cash through the performances to support his cause   as the  ambassador for the breast and cervical cancer campaign in this country.

Le Maxque  and his band  were in the UK  last year. One of the gigs they played  was at an event organised by the Ghana Society in Luton to  mark Ghana’s independence anniversary.

“The whole trip went fairly well last year but we don’t have to slacken on what we were able to achieve.  We still have targets to meet in terms of helping  our women with breast and cervical cancer problems.

“We would not rest till  we know we have done all we can to help our women,” says Le  Maxque  who shot two music videos  in 2012  to sensitise more people  on  breast and cervical cancer and solicit funds for  the cause.
