Organised in Los Angeles, California in the US, the contest is to find the best songs and artists from different countries and introduce them to the wider music industry through concerts, TV Broadcasting and other forms of media publicity.

After releasing his first album, This is Who I am, Jon Germain popularly known as the Supremo has worked his way up to remain relevant on the Ghanaian music scene. He defines his nomination at the World Song Contest as “confirmation of his hard work and good products he has produced over the years”.

“This nomination is a booster for me and Ghanaian music because my song is competing with songs from other countries like the US, UK, Ukraine….

Currently, he is on set shooting the video of Threesome which features Ghana Music Award's Artiste of The Year, E. L and Dee Money.

“I’m just that guy that God gave a talent. Like the legendary Smokey Robinson said, ‘I thank God for putting the song in me’. I'm just happy to do songs that touch people all over the world."

His music career started over two decades ago when he and other artistes including Ded Buddy (Qweci) formed the MGKK4 group.

He moved on as a solo artiste after the split up of the group and later released his debut album called This is Who I am.

Some songs on the album especially In My Head and Love Zone were quite popular and earned him some recognition in music circles. He later followed it up with his second album, Enigma which also chalked some success.
