‘Dogo Yaro’ enjoyed massive airplay last year and with its intriguing video directed by Pascal AKA, it no surprising VVIP made up of Prodigal, Zeal and Reggie Rockstone took home the two awards.

Speaking in an interview with Reggie Rockstone, he said VVIP has  for the last three years proven to Ghanaians and the world at large that  they have come to stay and winning the two awards go to confirm it.

According to him, VVIP knew very well Dago Yaro was going to do magic at AFRIMA because the video was classic one.

“With Dogo Yaro getting good reviews on social media, the VVIP group knew they were definitely getting some awards when it was announced that they have been nominated” he said

Reggie Rockstone is however not happy that Dogo Yaro which won the Group Best Group and Best Music Video at AFRIMA was not even nominated at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

According to him, if such a big award scheme can award Dogo Yaro considering the huge artistes they were in contention with, the VVIP group wonders why such a quality music video was not even nominated at the VGMA.

Reggie Rockstone thanked Ghanaians for patronising their latest song Alhaji which features Patoranking.

“The rate at which Alhaji is moving is incredible, I must say I am amazed how the song is being enjoyed not only in Ghana but Nigeria and other African countries” he added.
