Chemphe has not been active on the music scene for some time now and the show is expected to be a “reunion” for the No Pampaana singer and his fans.

The 5 pm show is to officially announce his new deal as the brand ambassador for Starz Energy Drink which will also be launched on the day.

The artistes billed to support him are hiplife group, Ruff N Smooth, D. Cryme and Jon Germain.

Chemphe told Showbiz on Tuesday that even though he has not been seen in the public’s eye for some time, he was working behind the scenes to give his fans some good music.

According to Mr. Andrew Kofi Gyan, Managing Director of KADENNIS Company Ltd, Chemphe was selected among the lot as the brand ambassador because his quality as a musician reflected that of their product.

“We found his amazing creativity and fitness comparable to the Starz Energy drink. He stands tall among the lot and we know that his strong brand will have a good bearing on the product, “he said.

Chemphe shot to fame in 2006 with his song, Why U Dey Treat Am Bad. He was part of the hiplife group, Outrageous, before hitting the limelight.

He is known for songs such as One People, No Pampaana and Emotions. In 2008, he won the Best Male Vocalist, Best Reggae song and Best Video of the year at the Ghana Music Awards.
