Wiyaala sticks to winning path

At her last major show in Accra which happened to be at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill last September, patrons could hardly sit still as she, together with her Djimba World Band, rocked the venue with some thrilling vibes.

She returns to +233 on Saturday, December 12,  to excite fans with another entertaining spectacle of contemporary African live music at its best.

Wiyaala says  besides performing her popular hits, she will sing live remixes of her most current collaborations with international and Ghanaian artistes.

So patrons should expect to hear her render hits such as  This Is Who I Am (with Moroccan star, Ahmed Soultan),  All I Want (with Dearzim from Zimbabwe), Hiisi (with South Africa’s Mzee & Rafiki), Mama (with alternative rock band, Dark Suburb), Power To The People (with  AJ Nelson ) and Real Woman (with MzVee).

Her return to +233 is at the request of discerning fans who saw her at the September performance where for over two hours, the young lady sang and danced and in the process, got everyone else at the show to sing and dance along with her.

She played guitar at some points and described herself as contemporary but traditional.  The rising international star created a party atmosphere as she also gave the excited audience songs by acts such as Angelique Kidjo, Johnny Nash, Tina Turner, Shaggy, Miriam Makeba, Michael Jackson and Osibisa.

Her management team, Djimba World Productions,  has pointed out that Wiyaala is looking forward to an even more exciting show at +233 than the last one.

“She knows  that being herself  and not  trying to imitate somebody else is surely the winning path,” a spokesperson for the management team said.

Also scheduled to appear at the concert alongside Wiyaala are the Dark Suburb rock band and rapper/singer AJ Nelson.
