Perhaps the many crashed marriages of music, movie and sports stars all over the world, have had an influence on such thought. Yes, male celebs may enjoy the attention of other ladies, they may not make enough time to be there most of the time but the wives Showbiz spoke with last week suggest that noooo, it is not that bad... infact it is enjoyable!

Elom, wife of actor, Adjetey Annang, is all glowing. “My husband is the best. He recognises any challenges that crop up in our marriage and is quick to address it with a positive spirit. He loves staying at home and takes me on his travels. He’s also very supportive in everything I do.
“We’ve been married for seven years and I call him “Sugar” because he is so sweet and sacrifices his own comfort for me most of the time. For example I can count the number of times I have had to do laundry. He is just extraordinary and I thank God for blessing us with such a sacred union.”
Mercy Abbey Safo, wife of movie producer Socrate Safo, said that after 20 years of marriage she has grown to become a stronger woman than she used to be. According to her, not many women can stand the numerous challenges she has had to endure but she stays strong all the time.
“There is no particular reason why I love my husband, but the fact is he is good and provides my needs. Never has he yelled at me for doing something wrong. My only worry is that he is too busy with his work and sometimes doesn’t come home early enough. But I stay up to welcome him home no matter the time.
“There is no marriage without problems but we settle our differences without letting a third party hear about it. All said, he is a lovely man and I would marry him 20 times over if there was ever a way to do so.”
Actress, Beverly Afaglo considers her husband, Praye Honeho, as the best man in the world. “I don’t think any other man can make me happy and treat me the way my husband does. He respects and understands me and also regards my decisions.
“My happiness is his priority and that makes me stick to him all the time. He is a strong man and encourages me when I am down. No matter the difficulty we face, he is able to turn things around. We had been dating for eight years and are married for almost two years and I can say with confidence that there is no man like him.”
“No one understands Abeiku Santana better than I do”, said Genevieve Benyiwah Aggrey, wife of the popular radio presenter. “Considering the kind of work he does, many women may find it difficult to cope but I handle him easily because I have known him for the past 15 years. Many people think we just got to know ourselves because we got married only recently but that is not the case. I can say for a fact that I know him better than anyone does.
“He is sweet and is always there for me whenever I need him. Never has he disrespected me since we got married and I know he never will. I just don’t have the words to describe him. All I can simply say is that he is the best man on earth and a gift from God.”
For Abena Owusua, wife of celebrated musician, Kwabena Kwabena, she does not worry too much that so many women admire her husband. ”I don’t blame them because he is sweet and is everywoman’s dream man. But he belongs to me alone.”
Abena Owusua said that she chose to marry Kwabena Kwabena because they both share common interests and goals. “For some reason we take decisions together and they always come out good. He discusses everything with me even when he is writing a song, and it is no surprise that his songs come out nice and everybody like them. He is sweet and I pray to God to give us long life to stay together. I love him dearly and God knows it.”
Annica Nsiah-Apau, wife of rapper, Okyeame Kwame, said her husband is tolerant and respects her decisions.” We have known each other for 10 years and we hardly quarrel. He is always calm even when he is upset. His anger is light and lasts for barely five minutes. I always thank God for meeting such a person.
“He is a wonderful man and a lovely father as well. Most male celebrities are always busy all over the place but he has time for the kids and always takes care of their needs. I love him endlessly.”
The “Hiplife Papa”, Reggae Rockstone earns a few but powerful lines from his wife, Zilla Limman. “My husband is the lovely and caring man that every lady would love to have. Regardless of his legend status, he is stable and always at home. To become a king and still let me be the boss makes me feel exceptional. I love everything about him.”
