Vlisco, the renowned Dutch fashion textile brand, has opened a new store in the newly established West Hills Mall at Weija, Accra.
The shop which represents a white, blank canvas upon which the Vlisco works of art can be displayed, was officially opened last Friday, November 28, 2014.
Speaking at the grand opening of the shop, Mr Kofi Boateng, Managing Director for Vlisco Ghana said; “Accra is an incredibly fashion forward city and this store intends to satisfy our appetite for inspiring fashion. This new West Hills Mall store reveals a new environment concept where the consumer is the focal point.”
“Enveloping them in the brand world, with new products, old favourites, new services and promotions, Vlisco aims to make our consumer’s shopping experience, and journey towards their dream outfit as pleasurable as possible.”
“This fully air-conditioned haven ensures you can admire our products, whilst enjoying fashion inspiration on digital screens and getting professional advice and fittings in total comfort – a haven where your fashion fantasies become a reality.”
According to him, they decided to open the store in the West Hills Mall mainly to serve the shopping needs of their cherished consumers living around the western part of Accra. As he puts it, “with the opening of this store, Vlisco aims to provide the fashion savvy consumers of Accra with even more fashion inspiration and service than ever before.”
Mr Boateng further said that there would not be any need for anybody to travel all the way to the Vlisco store in Accra Mall when the person lives around the western part of Accra.
The opening ceremony which featured a number of clothing designers and their wares, with some taking to 'catwalk' breathtaking pieces, was attended by dignitaries like Dr Joyce Aryee - founder of Salt and Light Ministries who also cut the tape; and actresses Ama K. Abebrese, Naa Ashorkor Doku as well as Efya.
