Tupperware honours top performing Africa sales force

Ghanaian distributors of Tupperware Brands made a near clean sweep of honours at the 2020/2021 Africa jubilee of the company, with Mrs Barbara Gbadamosi, a teacher, emerging the overall Top Team Leader.

Mrs Gbadamosi won for herself a brand new Toyota Rush, while the top executive manager, top team leader, and top new team leader out of the seven total awards available, all went to Ghanaians.

Tupperware Brands is an American multinational marketing company that focuses on kitchen and household products and is noted particularly for its line of plastic containers for food storage and preparation.

Mrs Stephanie Sagoe, authorized distributor of Tupperware in Ghana described the achievement by the Ghanaian sellers as remarkable given that the about 75 years old Tupperware has only three years presence in Ghana.

She told Graphic Online that Tupperware believes in empowering men and women to be confident in themselves, be their own bosses and take charge of their lives, and that the objective of the network of sales consultants and demonstrators in Ghana is to raise and nurture no less than 5,000 women with each earning a minimum of GH¢5,000 monthly.

According to Mrs Gbadamosi, before joining Tupperware as a salesperson, she used her spare time after teaching to watch telenovelas, however the part time sales she made of the products has brought her great business and handsome rewards.

“The results, the reward is so visible that everybody can attest to the fact that Tupperware is so rewarding. I came to play but here I am with a tear-rubber (just) selling plastics… If you want to join, we are telling you, you don’t need to be a full time Tupperware consultant, you can do it on the sidelines and you will still earn the rewards,” she said, adding that within the three years that she persevered in her sales effort, she has been able to purchase a three-bedroom house.

A team leader with Tupperware Ghana, Ernestina Amo-Darko who is also a procurement supply chain professional, encouraged all who seek employment or extra revenue to join in the network and experience its rewarding opportunities.
