CIMG Awards is one of the most popular and celebrated awards in the country aimed at promoting high professional standards and to encourage excellence among marketing practitioners, as well as ensure improved quality of products and services offered by businesses.

Tobinco has won  three different awards continuously in the past four years.

With a vision of providing quality and affordable essential medicines, Mr Samuel Amo Tobbin, the Chief Executive Officer of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, was awarded the CIMG Marketing Man of the Year 2010 and in pursuit of this vision, Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited was awarded the CIMG Marketing-Oriented organisation of the Year 2011 for consistency in meeting the nation’s health needs.

Lonart is undoubtedly one of the most widely patronised antimalarial drug in the country.

This year’s event was on the theme: ‘The Future of Marketing: Evolve or Die.’

The Marketing and Business Communications Manager, Mr Ben Kpabi Tetteh, noted that the company considered the award as a great honour done the business.

“Having been through challenging times, we are proud of our achievements and this award is an endorsement of the fact that hard work, commitment and dedication to duty pays,” he said.

Mr Tetteh commended the management and staff of the company, especially Mr Amo Tobbin’s dynamic leadership style that had  brought the company thus far, noting also the tremendous patronage shown by its numerous clients.

He further expressed the company’s unflinching commitment to helping achieve the objectives of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), especially the eradication of malaria by the end of 2015.

The award, he pointed out, would spur staff on to continue to give their best and “we will serve our clients and the general public better through the provision of efficacious medicine.”

“We believe in our product and we know that our product is very efficacious and yields the expected results, coupled with the fact that the general public has accepted it,” Mr Tetteh added.
