The universities are Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University for Development Studies (UDS), SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), and Christ Apostolic University.

Only four of the six schools from the Northern zone will advance to the quarter-final stage of the TBSC national championship, which will be hosted in the Greater Accra Region.

In total, 12 schools from three zones: Northern, Middle, and Southern will compete in the national quarterfinals.

Middle zone

The Middle Zonal Championship concluded last Friday, with the University of Cape Coast (UCC) victorious.

UCC won with 79 points, beating the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), with 75 points and the Koforidua Technical University (KTU) with 16.

However, all three universities have advanced to the national championship quarter-finals.

Effect

The TBSC is a tertiary school quiz contest created by the Graphic Business to encourage intellectual rivalry among students in various tertiary institutions around the country.

As the country's leading economic and financial newspaper, it is optimistic that the challenge will serve as a fertile ground for nurturing students' interest in business issues and entrepreneurship in general, in addition to providing contestants with the opportunity to demonstrate their intellectual prowess, which could earn their schools’ bragging rights.
