St Joseph Plastic supports vulnerable in Amamorley
St Joseph Plastic Company Limited, a plastic manufacturing and recycle company, has presented food items to the Ga North Municipal Assembly (GNMA) for distribution to some vulnerable groups within the municipality.
The company handed over about 200 bags and packs of food items valued at a total cost of GH¢12,000 to the assembly for distribution.

COVID-19 support to vulnerable
The package included bags of rice, sugar, canned fish, cooking oil, tomato paste and gari.
The gesture is to support about 500 vulnerable groups during this period of COVID-19.
The Director of St Joseph Plastic, Mr Shan Malik, said the donation formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR).
“It is part of our efforts to support the vulnerable within Amamorley and other adjoining communities during this crucial time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“For us, the vulnerable in society should be catered for and this is the crucial time to give them the needed care and support,” Mr Malik said.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the GNMA, Ms Gertrude Ankrah, said the distribution of the items would be done together with some members of staff of the company in the identified communities.

Ms Ankrah expressed appreciation to the staff and management of the company for the gesture.
Ms Ankrah stated that the assembly had inaugurated a committee to mobilise resources to cater for the needy within the municipality.
She further called on other companies, individuals and non-governmental organisations to also collaborate with the assembly to support the needy in such difficult times.
