Developing the youth

The Springboard, he said, had also helped him to learn from young people and to understand the real issues facing them, and added that last year was a fascinating experience.

“I remember this young guy who had been involved in an accident and I was leading a section on business planning and I gave them a test and this guy was so resilient and won I was so happy for him,” Mr Ohene-Kyei, who was a resource person at last year’s Springboard Roadshow at Sunyani, reminisced.

He said with his interaction with a number of young people through Springboard Roadshow, there were more the Springboard could do in the transformation of the country.

Everyone listening to me should be at the venue because no matter what experience an individual has, he or she never stops learning, I believe that for every opportunity that I have had to listen to any of the speakers on Springboard, I have learnt something. Therefore, I would be there to inspire others,” she said.

The Head of Distribution at Star Life Assurance, Mr Nashiru Iddrisu, a guest on the weekly programme also added that the national convocation of the Springboard Roadshow should be a must-attend event on everyone’s calendar.
