The J.A. Plant Pool Gh Ltd has attributed its success over the years to a deliberate commitment by staff to exceed the expectations of customers in service delivery.
To further recognise the contribution of customers to its success, the company has introduced a customer week celebration, which it wants to institutionalise.
The maiden customer service week took place from April 4 to April 8, during which various activities were organised to honour customers.
This year’s event was on the theme: ‘Great Service, Delighted Customer’, in line with the company’s decision to use the week to recognise, encourage, appreciate and celebrate their customers.
It afforded the company the opportunity to also appreciate the work of Plant Pool’s departments in delivering excellent customer service.
Treat customers as royals
The Managing Director (MD) of Earthmovers Co. Ltd, Madam Ama Asante, who launched the customer week celebration, encouraged staff of J.A. Plant Pool, the mother company, to continue to focus on the ACT of customer service, which refers to accuracy, care and trust.
They should also treat customers as royals, Madam Asante added.
That, she said, was needed to motivate customers to assume the role of brand ambassadors for the company.
The MD of J.A. Plant Pool Gh Ltd, Mr Lolu Akindele, said the company aimed at using the customer service week to implement some of its enhanced service initiatives across all branches.
“We will use this week to showcase our continued commitment to customer service, which is the bedrock of a strong customer relationship,” Mr Akindele said.
As part of activities planned for the week, the MD said J.A. Plant Pool had concluded arrangements to mark the ‘Great Service, Delighted Customer’ mantra.
Plant Pool, which is a subsidiary of the Jospong Group, has been at the forefront of service excellence in the sales, rentals and servicing of equipment.
It is currently the leading supplier of heavy duty and earth-moving equipment in the country and is now aiming at becoming the first choice for mining and construction equipment, transport-related products and services by 2018. — GB
