PHD India also picked up an award, which saw the global media agency with operation in Ghana, putting up its strongest awards performance yet.

The global agency picked up three grand prix awards for outstanding work done for its key global clients, Unilever and Warner Bros.

These include a Grand Prix (Grand Cristal) in Brand Culture and a Grand Prix in Marketing Innovation for PHD India’s ‘KKT’ campaign for Unilever, as well as a Grand Prix (Grand Cristal) in Media for PHD UK’s ‘The LEGO Movie Ad Break’ for Warner Bros.

The accolades were accorded the agency for its dominance at this year’s awards where it also swept a total 20 awards across the show, made up of eight gold, eight silver and four bronze.

The global media agency network’s successes at this awards event are not surprising considering its winning streak at awards events during the year 2014, including the recent media Grand Prix at Eurobest and being named Campaign Media Network of the Year 2014 for the APAC region.

At the Cannes Lions Awards in June, the agency took home a total of 48 Cannes Lions awards; five as the entrant agency and 43 as a credited agency, winning more gold awards than any other media network by picking up four out of the five golds awarded. In 2012 and 2013, PHD was named Adweek's Global Media Agency of the Year.

“PHD Ghana is immensely inspired by the winning spirit exhibited by the network’s offices to continue providing world-class communications planning services to support the marketing efforts of its local and international clientele in Ghana and across West Africa, using tools that tap into the collective talent pool from our network of offices around the globe,” the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PHD Ghana, Mr Bright Ladzekpo, said.

With the use of media technology and communications tools such as Source, he said PHD was “poised to scale up technology-enabled and content-led communications strategies in our market.”

As part of the Omnicom Media Group, PHD is one of the world's fastest growing and most awarded media and communication agencies, with over 3,000 staff working in over 80 offices worldwide, including Ghana.
