Nestlé unveil new cereal product to address nutritional needs

In its quest to address the nutritional needs of the Ghanaian population, Nestlé Ghana Ltd. has introduced Golden Morn, a nutrient-rich cereal, to the Ghanaian market.

Made from maize and soya, Golden Morn provides essential nutrients for balanced nutrition and digestion, offering a wholesome, homemade feel for the whole family.

The Golden Morn cereal contains essential nutrients such as iron, vitamins B1, B5, C, A and protein and calcium content. 

The iron-fortified Golden Morn cereal is an ideal choice for both growing children and adults and provides comprehensive nourishment for overall wellbeing. 

A short ceremony was held in Accra on Friday to launch the Golden Morn. The event brought together staff of the company who partook in various fun activities to usher the product to the Ghanaian market.

Ahead of the launch, a week-long event was organized in September at all four Nestlé sites in Accra to celebrate the Golden Morn. 

The event included sampling and interactive engagement activities focused on Golden Morn, allowing employees to experience the product firsthand and gain insights into its benefits.  

Speaking at the launch, Managing Director, Nestlé Ghana Ltd., Georgio Badaro expressed his delight to finally introduced the Golden Morn to the Ghanaian market.

"We are delighted to bring Golden Morn to the Ghanaian market. Golden Morn is not just a breakfast cereal; it is a nutritious and delicious way to start your day. We believe it will become a household favorite, appealing to both kids and adults," he said. 

For his part, Dairy Category Manager, Gilbert Tweneboah Koduah noted that the product was already on the market as they unveiled it and encouraged families to patronize it.

“The good thing is that it is already on the market. We had it selling while we are doing the distribution and today, we are unveiling it but for the past three months, it has been on the market,” he said.

“Golden Morn is an all family cereal. We have this cereal in the Nigerian market and now we have the opportunity to have it here in Ghana. It is a cereal that is fortified with iron, vitamin A, B1, B5 and vitamin C. With all of these fortifications., it makes it very healthy and nutritious for all consumers – children, adults and everybody in the family,” he added.

The launch of Golden Morn marks an exciting milestone for Nestlé Ghana Ltd., as the company continues to innovate and bring products that contribute to a healthier future.
