The accreditation is also in line with the practices of high-performing global companies.

A release from the company signed by Mrs Cynthia Lumor, Corporate Services Executive, said, “The accreditation follows MTN’s passing of a rigorous assessment process that has been developed over 20 years and is respected internationally.”

“Investors in People set a standard for good people management practices and is internationally recognised. The coveted accreditation is a confirmation that a company engages in the best global people practices,” it added.

The release said Investors in People is one of the world’s leading people management standards, and is a business improvement tool designed to help organisations develop performance through their people.

“Working with Investors in People is proven to improve organisational output for companies. Over the last 20 years, Investors in People has helped more than 20,000 businesses around the world improve using their Accreditation Framework to boost working culture, increase employee engagement and encourage game-changing leadership”, it said.

The release also quoted the Human Resource Executive, Ms Amma Benneh-Amponsah, as saying that: “This IiP accreditation validates MTN’s continued focus on embedding excellence in our people management practices that ultimately translates into the customer experiences at all MTN touch points.”

“To have received this accreditation after the very first assessment is extremely gratifying, as we have continuously worked hard to build an empowered team,” she added.

This award gives us even greater motivation to do more to bring out the best in all MTN Ghana employees.”
