Mobitech Global Solutions at AITEC 2014

The Head of Programmes at Mobitech Global Solutions Limited, Mr Eugene K. Agben, has described the just-ended AITEC 2014 fair, which brought together players in the information technology industry, as an appropriate platform for companies to showcase their products and services to institutions and individuals.

“It afforded us the opportunity to put up some of our IT solutions and innovative point-of-sale devices to the teaming mass who patronised our stand,” he told the Daily Graphic.

He said some of the solutions that the company outdoored included the sPOS, which is an innovative point-of-sale device that uses a traditional Samsung tablet fitted with a sleeve to enable card transactions, printing, biometrics, as well as barcode scanning functionalities all in one complete unit.

The sPOS is a collaboration between Samsung and Mobitech’s South Korean partners ITwell and it’s aimed at being the POS of choice for most microfinance and savings and loans organisations in the country.

Mr said Mobitech also ceased the opportunity to showcase its fleet of touchscreen sPOS devices which are reputed to be the most advanced, robust and user friendly on the market.

“Mobitech also demonstrated to the visitors to the company’s stand how its various applications run seamlessly on the various devices,” he said.

Consequently, he said Mobitech would run and operate the only repair centre for ITwell’s devices in Ghana.

The AITEC 2014 fair, which was scheduled for 9-10 of July 2014 at the Conference Centre, was an event which brought together players in the banking and mobile money sectors of the financial industry.
