Huawei opens first experience shop in Ghana

Huawei Technologies in partnership with Telefonika Ghana Limited has officially opened the first “ Huawei Experience Shop” at the Accra Mall last Friday.

Stocked with a wide range of devices and accessories the experience shop will offer exclusive customer service, expertise, and support for Huawei devices.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Country Manager for Huawei Device, Fisher Yushulong expressed satisfaction at the growth of the Huawei brand.

He said this is testified in its global recognition which saw the brand move from 88th to 72nd and again from 70th to 47th most valuable brand in the world.

“We hope this bold step will maximize our gains and consolidate our strategic partnership to serve the Ghanaian consumer the best way we can.”

“We believe that this milestone was achieved with the help of partners like MTN, Telefonika and our cherished customers just to mention a few,” he said.

Mr Yushulong said Huawei is committed to playing an active role in the development and sustainability of Ghana's ICT sector.

He said as part of its growth initiative, the experience shop will serve as a benchmark for future experience shops around the country.

The General Manager of Corporate Sales for Telefonika, Abigail Mensah Boadi, said smartphones now play a critical role in how society interacts and this she said has expanded possibilities and empowered people.

She said partnering Huawei will be the beginning of a long-standing relationship that will enable it to meet the specific smartphone needs of individuals, corporate entities and society at large.

According to her, Telefonika believes in giving its clients the best products with valid warranties that will enhance a long-lasting experience with its clientele.

She stated that quality service is the hallmark of Telefonika and its partnership with Huawei will only improve the unending experience of quality service.

For his part, the General Manager for Sales & Distribution, MTN Ghana, Mr. Abubakar Mohammed, said Huawei's vision in the smartphone industry can only be encouraged and MTN will be at hand to continue its support for the Huawei brand and its effort to enhance quality mobile telecommunication.

He said he has no doubts about the quality service that will be rendered at the experience shop and therefore urged Ghanaians to patronise it for expertise and support for Huawei devices.

The Huawei P10 smartphone was unveiled followed by a 10-day activation campaign.
