Graphic wins Business Quality Award
Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) and thirteen other Ghanaian businesses were on Saturday honoured for demonstrating service quality and innovation in their business operations.

At the 2017 edition of Made in Ghana Business Quality Awards, GCGL was awarded the Diamond Business quality award in Print Media industry while Alomo bitters and Awake drinking water, all products of Kasapreko ltd received Made in Ghana Products Quality of the Year Awards.
The awards night also paid special honor to quality leadership and business icons representing the 10 regions. These distinguished individuals were given special awards for meeting the standards of quality in their various leadership roles. The organisers also recognised these individuals for their services to society aimed at improving the well-being of their people and the country as a whole.
Over all, thirty two celebrated regional business icons and outstanding made in Ghana quality products and businesses were honoured to “further explore the possibility of promoting made in Ghana quality products and services”.
The event, organized by the Entrepreneurs Foundation Ghana (EFG) under the auspices of the ministries of finance and business development in collaboration with the Ghana Standard Authority was held at the Banquet hall in Accra on Saturday.
In an interview with Graphic Business after the event, Mr Sam Ato Gaisie, founder of EFG said the event was an initiative established with the aim of promoting the use of quality and the adoption of effective quality management methodologies by Ghanaian enterprises in improving industrial competitiveness.
He said “as the country begins exploring the idea of one district, one factory, is it imperative that we sing the message of quality into the minds of all business people because that is the only way we can effectively compete internationally”.
Mr Mohammed Awal, Minister for Business Development in his address as special guest of honour at the ceremony charged businesses to adhere to best practices that will ensure quality delivery. He said Ghana could compete on the world stage if businesses concentrated on quality and best practices, “we have to do away with the short cuts in business and ensure best practices that will ultimately lead to quality delivery”.
