GCEM appoints Nana Kobina Nketsia as Chief Patron
Nana Kobina Nketsia V, the Omanhen of Essikado Traditional Area, a Pan-Africanist, a Nationalist, an accomplished writer on African Culture and author of the highly acclaimed book on 'Governance and Leadership', has been appointed the Chief Patron of the Ghana Chamber of Events Management (GCEM).
The Chamber is made up of private companies and professionals in the events industry, who have come together to advance the cause of the industry.

To achieve its mandate and plans, an Interim Management Committee (IMC) seeks the counsel and leadership of a dynamic group of Patrons to lend support for the advocacy and regulatory activities of the Chamber.
A delegation of the IMC of the GCEM paid a courtesy call on Nana Kobina Nketsia V, to express their gratitude to him for accepting to be Chief Patron of GCEM, and to seek his blessings. He was also presented with a copy of the Constitution of the Chamber and a letter of credentials.
Nana Kobina Nketsia V commended the members of the Chamber IMC for the bold initiative to come together and self-regulate. He reminded the delegation of the role of events management in brand and image building.
As a firm believer in the preservation of natural resources, he also reiterated the importance of sustainable events management to increased productivity; cost savings in energy as well as water.
He said the power of a positive peer pressure group to achieve cannot be matched by any force and made it very clear that, the only hindrance to the progress of the Chamber is its membership and promised to support the Chamber in all he can.
He further advised the delegation from the IMC to stay focused to their vision and mission.
Members of the delegation were Dodzi Anador - Chairman, Paul Mensah - Vice Chairman and Abraham Ofori Portuphy - Secretary.
