The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ghana (CCFG), with the support of the France Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Frédéric Clavier, has organised a Banking and Insurance conference aimed at promoting economic growth and employment and building long-term bridges between Ghana and France.

Dubbed “Banking and Insurance Business in Ghana”, and being the first of its conferences to be held in the year, the CCFG brought together such experts as the Director of the Financial Services Division of the Ministry of Finance, Mr Joseph Chognuru; the Director of Banking Supervision of the Bank of Ghana, Mr Franklin Belnye; the Deputy Commissioner of Insurance of the National Insurance Commission, Mr Simon Nerro Davor, and the Deputy Managing Director and the Head of Products Development and Channels Distribution (both of  Société Générale Ghana), Mr François Marchal and Mrs Nathalie Douellou, respectively, as well as the Deputy Managing Director of Allianz Insurance Company Ghana, Mr Martin Amoah.

A member of the board of the CCFG, Mr Gilbert Hie, who opened the conference, said the conference would help deepen the knowledge of the participants in the financial, banking and insurance sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

Since its launch in May 2014, the CCFG has organised various activities and provided services to different companies.

It currently has a large number of members from various sectors of the economy.

The CCFG seeks to promote and support Ghanaian investments in France  and French investments in Ghana.

It offers a platform for the exchange of ideas and business networking.
