Francis Amuzu wins CBG Golf Challenge Medal

Francis Amuzu emerged as the winner of the Men’s Category A of the 2021 Consolidated Bank Ghana( CBG) Golf Challenge Medel held last Saturday at the Bok Nam Kim golf Club in Accra.

Playing off handicap 11, he returned a net score of 57 to win the coveted trophy.

Edward Abrokwah with a net score of 63 points and John Quarshie with a net score of 64 points took second and third places respectively.

In the keenly contested Men's Category B, a 13-year-old Michael Nyarko also took home the outmost prize.

George Amissah came second and Michael Abbey placed third.

In the Ladies Category, Mrs. Marlene Tonyigah emerged as the winner and Ms. Daisy Annor Apo and the ever-green Jenny Le Hong came second and third respectively.

The Deputy Managing Director of CBG, Mr. Thairu Ndungu, thanked all golfers who participated in the competition and pledged` the Bank’s support for the sport in the coming years.

He also announced that the Bank is considering a Golf Academy to get staff to take up the game of sponsors.

He reiterated the Banks value proposition to Ghanaians and admonished golfers to patronize the services of the indigenous Bank.
